Ashton-under-Lyne Golf Club is quite simply the place to be when it comes to a premier membership experience in the Tameside area.

Being a member at Ashton-under-Lyne Golf Club unlocks golfing freedom with unlimited access to our golf course, practice facilities and clubhouse you can fully enjoy this great sport in beautiful surroundings. We also have reciprocal agreements with several clubs including North Manchester, Sale and Lytham Green Drive.

The course itself is rated very highly across Tameside and provides a fair yet challenging golf course and with four sets of tees it means that the course can be enjoyed by experienced golfers as well as those with a lower level of ability who just want to come and relax, away from the everyday grind, whilst enjoying the glorious views of the local countryside.

Subscription Rates

Membership at Ashton-under-Lyne is an annual commitment and the subscription year runs from the date of joining the Club for twelve months.

  • Joining Fee Information

    In addition to the annual fees noted below a joining fee of £545 is payable. The fee is NOT applicable to female applicants as we are currently under-represented in this section. It is not applicable to the five-day mid-week category as the course is currently under-utilised mid week. Please see below for details:

    – Applicable to new male members ONLY, aged 26 years or over on the date membership commences.
    – Fee of £545 payable up front or by direct debit over a maximum of 24 months (or any combination thereof by agreement with the Club Manager).
    – Payable upon joining country, 6 or 7 day categories only.

  • Social Membership

    Social Membership provides members with access to all Club Functions, a Member’s Card to provide discounts at the bar and three rounds of non-competitive golf per annum. Golf in excess of three rounds must be paid for at the standard visitor’s rate for the date. Social Members may not bring guests at the Member’s Guest rate.

  • CASC

    Any prospective member whose financial circumstances do not allow him or her to pay an annual membership subscription and associated costs of more than £520.00 is invited to apply to the General Manager in writing or by e-mail to [email protected] and demonstrate that any sum above this figure is not affordable. An application will then be considered by the Management Committee and if accepted, an alternative fee structure will be offered to the applicant.
